The uncomfortable part is not the one bad day, it is how quickly you get used to it and start treating it as normal. That is what traditional Thai massage works against: pressure and stretching along the energy lines, not stroking.

Do I need to call first, or can I just drop in?
Give us a quick call and the time is held for you, rather than arriving to find the couch taken. There is often something free the same day. You are welcome to drop in, of course, but then it is down to luck.
What do I wear for a Thai massage?
For the traditional Thai massage you stay fully dressed. Come in something comfortable you can move in, or we will lend you clothing. For the oil massages we cover you with towels, and only the area being worked on is uncovered. You can change undisturbed in the treatment room.
Who will treat me, and what do you offer?
You will be treated by one of the studio's therapists. The owner, Natthanan Horn, completed 150 hours of training in traditional Thai massage at the Thai Traditional Medicine Development Center in Pattaya, certified by the Union of Thai Traditional Medicine Society. The certificate hangs in the studio. We are a wellness studio and work therapeutically only: we do not offer treatments with an erotic character, and we turn down enquiries of that kind. People come here because their back hurts.
How firm is the pressure? Does it hurt?
You set the pressure, not us. Say at the start how firm you like it, and say so again in the middle if it is too much or too little. If you prefer it gentle, the aroma oil massage is the better choice than the traditional Thai massage.
How long should my first massage be?
60 minutes. That is enough for the whole body, or for a thorough back, and it costs €53. If it is only the neck and shoulders, 30 minutes at €30 will do.
What does a Thai massage cost with you?
Between €30 for 30 minutes of neck and shoulders and €93 for two hours full body. Every price is on this page. There are no packages and nothing is added at the end.
Is there anything to keep in mind before or after?
Do not come on a full stomach: a heavy meal shortly beforehand sits badly when you are face down and being stretched. Drink a large glass of water afterwards and plan nothing strenuous for the rest of the day. After a first firm Thai massage the following day can feel a little like aching muscles after exercise. That is normal and passes on its own.
Can I pay by card?
Yes. You pay after the treatment in the studio, in cash or by card.
Is there parking?
Yes, directly in front of the building at Ulmer Str. 153. Arriving five minutes before your appointment is plenty.
Is a massage with you a medical treatment?
No. HomeSabay is a wellness studio. Our massages are for relaxation and wellbeing. They are not a medical treatment and are not billed to health insurance. If you have symptoms or a condition, please check with your doctor first about what makes sense.
Can I give a massage as a gift?
Yes. Vouchers are available for any amount or for a particular treatment. You can collect one from the studio or reserve it by phone.
Can two of us lie next to each other?
Yes, there is a room of its own with two couches and two therapists. You start together and finish together. Book a few days ahead so that both the room and the team are free.
